I think this is the fourth livejournal I've had--perhaps the fifth--and before that, I believe there were two Open Diary accounts. I keep abandoning these for the same two reasons.* Firstly, people who I would rather not read anything about me, ever--my "enemies" (those who christen themselves so because I tell the truth or whatever), my psychotic emotionally manipulative ex boyfriend who ever endeavors to weave me back into his spiderweb of deceitful entropy, my mother--always find me and won't stay out of my shit. Secondly, the passive aggressive posts about baby mama drama, always written with the intent of others involved in said drama reading them and wondering, just annoy me to no end. If there's one thing that should not be tolerated in this life, it's a pussy.**

So each time I begin one of these things (lol), I feel the first post should be epic and profound. This one isn't. When I attempt that it usually just comes off as pretentious as balls, anyway.

This week, I was adopted by a cat. She is tiny, and beautiful, and endearingly sweet--I say that, and I'm a dog person, as much as one can possibly be a dog person. Also, I think she's pregnant.

And I have two dogs, also rescues, one of which hates and is terrified of cats because she was traumatized by a seriously evil neighbor cat during puppyhood, the other having all the delicacy and coordination of a fat drunk Russian wrestler. And I don't think I can put another pet on my lease. And my fiancee definitely can't. And I'm allergic to cats.

Dammit.

The cat sort of chose me and my sister as her owners, at my parents' house (visiting for the holidays). Dad hates cats. Mom hates cats. Sister wants cat, and I'm throwing down on her side. It is a battle of family wills.

We'll see how this goes.

*Hopefully that won't be the case with this one, as I intend on keeping it strictly fandom-only. There's a reason I haven't posted in my really real world journal in almost a year, and those are real life people.

**Nothing sexist intended. I wish there was a word for "pussy" without gendered connotation, but I'm afraid that there isn't. At least, not one that's derogatory enough to describe the behavior to which I am referring. But I refer to members of both genders as pussies, equally. Same with all other expletives.
